When we book our engagement sessions, we ask our couples to think of meaningful locations they might like to use. Tyrel & Allison wanted their engagement session done at her parent’s farm, where their fall 2020 wedding will be held. Cam & I always love an opportunity to check out new locations, so needless to say, we very quickly agreed!

Living in Saskatchewan, we know December weather is a little unpredictable. Descending into the Lumsden Valley, it seemed we were driving directly into a cloud. We nervously wondered what might await us on the other side. Luckily, the fog lightened up as we turned into the farmyard. After seeing the view, Cam & I now fully understand why this is the location for the engagement session and for the wedding!

As we walked, Allison told us about the history of this property. This farm has been in Allison’s family since the 1800s being passed down through generations. It was passed down to her father and is where she grew up. The hills are dotted with special memories of Allison’s childhood – including a natural spring and their very own campground overlooking the lake! Man, what a cool place to grow up and explore!!

We ventured through the snowy paths, attempting to hide from the wind. At every opportunity, Tyrel snuggled with Allison to keep warm. Every time, her face lit up as he got nearer to her. His eyes, glistening at the sound of her laugh and always doing what he could to get her to genuinely smile.

Tyrel & Allison, thank you for adventuring with us! I absolutely love how you are game for everything. Despite the howling wind and blowing snow, you kept on going, all the while smiling and ready to do anything required to get the shot! Spending time with the two of you is such a joy and I cannot wait to capture more special moments for you in these very spots for your wedding next fall! We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
