It’s hard for me to believe (and admit!) but my baby girl will be one on Saturday.  My, how the year has flown by!  For some reason, it seems to be every mother’s compulsion to at least attempt to make their baby’s first birthday cake- it seems that I am no different.  So, given that we are having a party for our wee girl this weekend, I thought I might make a trial cake, and then hey, why not have a cake smash?  So today, we did just that.
