We met Cole & Alisha in October 2017 when we first got to shoot their excitement as a newly engaged couple. Who could’ve known then that just a few short years later, we would be shooting the McFie family, with their adorable son, Benson? He is such a little ham and had us all laughing so hard!

To start, Benson did not feel too into the idea of smiling. Instead, he gave us some super cool GQ faces, as it seemed he thought maybe this was his breakout in modelling. I could not stop laughing at how sometimes he seemingly went out of his way NOT to smile at us. It was visibly an internal struggle for him, but he held out on principle. It was absolutely adorable to see his strong resolve not to give in too easy. Cam finally cracked the code with a rigorous game of peek-a-boo, which helped put Benson at ease.

Once atop dad’s shoulders, Benson’s laughter could not be stopped! The only hiccup to his joy was the occasional lick of dad’s hair. It seems that while Cole’s hair product smelled delicious, from the faces Benson gave, it did not taste as equally delicious… But it didn’t stop him from trying it out a couple of times!

McFie family, we are so thankful for all of you. The opportunity to capture your memories is such a blessing to us. We love seeing how you have grown from ‘Cole & Alisha’ to the ‘McFie Family’! Benson is absolutely adorable and I still find myself giggling as I look at some of the faces he pulled- they bring me a tremendous amount of joy. So I can only imagine how much of your day is spent smiling at and snuggling with this little cutie!! Benson is a keeper, and we cannot wait to watch him as he grows year over year!
