Laurie & Destiny Wedding

Nov 21, 2018 | Blog, Wedding

The wind whipped the falling snow against the window of Destiny’s bridal suite at the Residence Inn. Sitting on the corner of the white duvet, Destiny smiled to herself as she read the letter Laurie wrote to her to read the morning of their wedding. Laurie & Destiny’s eldest daughter stood nearby, watching as her mom stepped into the room in her beautiful Morilee by Madeline Gardner mermaid gown. Destiny carefully handed each of the special women in her life a gift, including her mother and her oldest daughter. Tears flowing down her cheeks, Destiny hugged her daughter and handed her a box containing an embroidered handkerchief- a token that she hopes can be used on her Baby Girl’s wedding day.

In front of their friends and family in the beautiful MacKenzie Art Gallery, Laurie & Destiny stood together and made their vows. Laurie spoke first, sharing the vows he had written, promising to love and cherish Destiny for the rest of his life. Each vowed to be support and strength for the other in the years to come. Laurie & Destiny’s three children looked on, as they witnessed mom and dad promise their forever love to one another. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Laurie & Destiny walked down the aisle together with their three beautiful children.

Laurie & Destiny have surrounded themselves with incredible people. People who will share their life with you, and walk through the best and worst times. Throughout the day, we heard stories about their adventures together and the ways that Laurie & Destiny have impacted the lives of their friends. Many stories were told about the stand-up guy that Laurie is and always has been. I really enjoyed the mental picture that was painted of Laurie sporting a stylish Sun Ice jacket on the ski hill! Destiny, it is clear that you have been a strong friend to so many. Story after story was shared about their love and support for you over the years and now on your wedding day. A few tears were shed, but even through the tears, it was a day full of celebration and love.

Laurie & Destiny, thank you so much for allowing Courtney Liske Photography to capture your beautiful wedding day. Cam & I were so honoured to spend time with you and your beautiful family. Destiny, your dance with your Baby Girl was beautiful. That precious girl soaked in every move the two of you made that day. Her joy overflowed and in all honesty, I shed a couple of happy tears with her from behind my camera! Laurie & Destiny, I pray that love you share will continue to grow throughout your life and be a model of true partnership for your three beautiful children as they grow.

xoxo
