The forecast predicted an extremely hot summer day, and unlike the unpredictability that rain seems to bring, it turned out to be very accurate! But despite the heat warnings our bride, Chantel remained cool as a cucumber. In all of her excitement of the wedding day, she didn’t panic about the wedding details. Her biggest focus was seeing her husband-to-be, Evan.
Evan stood facing Wascana Lake, waiting patiently for Chantel to arrive. Looking ever so dapper in his royal blue suit, he stood with his back to the path where she would enter. Chantel walked toward him, her smile increasing in width and brilliance with each step closer. As he wrung his hands, it was clear that Evan, upon hearing her approach, was anxious to finally get his first glimpse of his beautiful bride. As he slowly turned, the joy on both of their faces exploded. Taking a moment to take each other in, they fell into a tight embrace.
The day was filled with laughter and so much joy. I love that so many unique aspects of their relationship were captured on their day. Evan & Chantel asked their grandmothers to be flower girls. It was so special to see these women stand up in support of their grandchildren. From the arch that Evan made to encompass Chantel’s vision, to their travel tattoos, to their map of the world guestbook, the day was filled with meaning and examples of how much they love one another.
Evan & Chantel, thank you for inviting us into your love story. You both have an incredible zeal for travel and adventure, but more importantly, an even stronger love for one another. We are so thankful that Courtney Liske Photography could capture these moments of the next chapter in your journey. I pray you never stop adventuring together. As
Cam & Courtney
